Guest Terms & Conditions

Effective 17 July 2026

1About These Terms

“The Boombox” is a premium Old-School R&B and Hip-Hop event run by DTF AU Pty Ltd (ACN 679 131 358) trading as The Boombox AU (“The Boombox”, “we”, “us”). These terms apply to every VIP table booking, ticket purchase and entry to a Boombox event. By booking a table, buying a ticket or paying a deposit you agree to these terms.

The Boombox is a travelling event hosted at partner venues. All alcohol at an event is sold and served by the host venue under its own liquor licence and responsible service of alcohol (RSA) obligations — The Boombox does not sell or serve alcohol. The host venue’s house rules, dress code and entry conditions apply alongside these terms.

2VIP Packages — What’s Included

Each VIP package includes the number of bottles stated for that package on the current event deck — for each bottle slot, you choose one bottle from that slot’s included list. Every package includes VIP entry for up to the stated number of guests, your choice of included bottles, unlimited mixers, a Red Bull round, a dedicated VIP waitress and bottle presentation. Package contents, prices, bottle counts and bottle lists are as published for each event and may vary by venue.

3Prices & Payment

4Deposits, Cancellations & Reschedules

5Arrival & Table Release

Tables are ready from doors open at 9:30pm. Please arrive (or have the first of your party arrive) by 11:00pm — after that we may release your booth to other guests and your deposit is forfeited, unless you have arranged a late arrival with us in advance.

6Guests & Extra Guests

7Bottle Upgrades & Swaps

8General Admission

General admission (GA) entry is charged at the door price for each event, subject to capacity. The door price may be higher than any advertised or pre-sale price, and may increase during the night at our discretion; the price payable is the price shown at the door when you enter. Entry is not guaranteed once the venue is at capacity, even with earlier entry the same night. GA guests who take a VIP table on the night are credited their door entry against the package’s entry component — entry is never charged twice.

Pre-purchased GA tickets. GA tickets bought in advance are valid for that event night only and are not refundable if you change your mind, but you may transfer your ticket to another person. Pre-purchased ticket holders receive priority entry over walk-up guests if they arrive by 12:00am; if you arrive by 12:00am and we are unable to admit you due to capacity, your ticket will be refunded in full. After 12:00am entry is subject to venue capacity and no refund applies. If we cancel the event or move it to a different date or venue, your ticket will be transferred or refunded in full at your choice. No refund is given where entry is refused or a guest is removed on RSA, ID, conduct or dress-code grounds (sections 9 and 10). Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

9Entry, ID & Responsible Service

10Behaviour & Dress

The Boombox is a premium night — dress to impress (smart evening wear; the event’s dress code applies). We have zero tolerance for aggression, harassment, racism or discrimination of any kind, or illicit substances. Guests are responsible for their own belongings and for any damage they cause to the venue or its property.

11If We Change Or Cancel An Event

Line-ups, DJs and performers may change without notice — a change of artist is not a cancellation. If an event is cancelled or moved to a different date or venue, we will notify all affected guests — both VIP bookers and ticket holders — using the contact details on your booking (such as SMS or email), and we will also post a public announcement on our official social media channels. Your deposit or ticket will be transferred or refunded in full, at your choice (for pre-purchased tickets, see also section 8). To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for other costs you may have incurred (such as travel or accommodation).

12Photography & Filming

Professional photography and videography take place at Boombox events, and reasonable use of guest images in event content and marketing is a condition of entry. If you don’t want to be captured, tell our photographer or videographer on the night and we will take reasonable steps to accommodate you. Please note that once images or video have been published to social media or included in an active advertising campaign, we may be unable to remove or recall them.

13Liability & Your Consumer Rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law, The Boombox’s liability in connection with an event is limited to the amount you paid us, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Alcohol service, venue safety and premises matters are the responsibility of the host venue as licensee.

14Privacy

We collect and use your personal information (including for SMS and email updates about future events) in accordance with The Boombox Privacy Policy, available on our website and on request. You can opt out of marketing at any time.

15Contact & Governing Law

Questions or booking changes: contact us via our website or socials, or email info@theboombox.au. These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia.
